Who Exactly Is Richard Newell Anyhow?
Richard's
high-flying career in Europe and Asia has provided him with
the knowledge and experience he is now putting to good use as
a marketing and communications consultant here in New Zealand.
With
a career spanning over 20 years in the international financial
product marketing industry, he has a wealth of practical experience.
He understands how companies often struggle to communicate effectively
with the media and with their clients. In his experience, he says
that while top executives may understand the importance of
good communication, few know how to achieve it. With his background
in media, Richard specialises in teaching company executives
how to deal with the press and how to get their message across
in a controlled manner.

spent a lot of his time helping asset management companies

In fourth quarter 2002 he worked for financial planning company
Spicers, part of the Axa Group. This involved the creation of
a full range of reports for different types of client, devising
communication formats for the group's tied advisers and the presentation
tools for client briefings. He also carried out the firm's media
work, writing articles and doing regular radio appearances on
National Radio, Newstalk ZB, Radio Pacific.
Richard
has also been in demand as a consultant to other advisory businesses,
including Money Matters, the firm headed by Dr. Rodger Spiller.
Through his
work as a consultant, he has established that there is a real
demand for good quality business consulting and investor communications.
His experience in international markets has given Richard a wide
range of media and business contacts. He has well-honed writing
skills, having spent many years as a journalist and editor.
